Workshop on Role of Smarts in IoT and Smart City Infrastructure and their Projected Applications

With emphasis on the ‘smart’ technology we are soliciting invited papers on various applications of RFID, Nano sensors, and newer advanced technology inventions in all domains representing smart grid, various infrastructure components of smart city, and internet of things (in all domains) as it is being proposed globally. Our focus is also on graduate students and young researchers to provide them opportunity to present their innovative ideas.

Dr Zafar Taqvi is a Research Fellow at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. After supporting space program at NASA/JSC (Apollo, Skylab, Shuttle and Space Station) for 41 years and concurrent teaching at University of Houston System for over 39 years in adjunct capacity, he is now focusing on new advanced technology developments. He is very active in professional societies holding active roles in section, region and various IEEE societies. He is an ISA Fellow, AIAA Associate Fellow and LSM-IEEE. He has received various international honors from IEEE, ISA, AIAA, Toastmasters International and National Management Association. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Eta kappa Nu, Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa and Sigma Xi honor societies.

Papers of 2-3 pages using IEEE format for conference can be submitted. We will be limiting the session papers to eight (8) on a first come first served basis.
